Louvre Abu Dhabi, Yes Thats Right!

As many of you know, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai, (U.A.E., United Arab Emirites) is one of my favorite places in the world! The UAE is so advanced and they are doing everything possible to survive without their oil wealth! This is a smart move , one that we could learn in the US, especially Oklahoma , but thats another post!

One of the newest additions to the wonders of the UAE is the Louvre Abu Dhabi. Apparently the French and UAE government entered into a 30 year agreement for Abu Dhabi to host their own Louvre (not sure what will happen post 30 years). I think this is fabulous, and I cannot wait to see it for myself!

I have been to the original Louvre in Paris many times, and although I am sure the newest Louvre cant compare in size and majesty, I understand it makes up for it in architecture and awesomeness!

The new Louvre opened just a few days ago, November 11th, 2017 to great fanfare!

The Louvre Abu Dhabi is located on Saadiyat Island . Saadiyat Island is also the location of a fabulous hotel, the The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi .

Saadiyat Island plans to add several more meusems with famous names, like the guggenheim , etc, so keep your eyes peeled!

Other Things to See in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi , like its sister / brother city Dubai, has many fabulous sites to see. One of my favorite is the fabulous Sheikh Zayed Mosque . One of the most amazing things in the world to see, and one of the few things that are new, that I consider a wonder of the world!
